SEB Basic
2009-12-02 Pangea design has been commissioned by SEB to further develop the SEB-brand by type. We have designed a corporate multi-font typeface which is unique for SEB and consistent with the bank's core values. The new typeface, SEB Basic, together with SEB's corporate green colour and the SEB logotype, is one of the most important elements in SEB's visual identity.
At present, SEB Basic consists of five weights, supporting all Western European Languages and including a large number of special characters and symbols. SEB Basic is in OpenType format enabling cross-platform use.
– We were proud to have the opportunity to re-design and further develop Carl Fredrik Hultenheim's original typeface for SEB. The confidence that SEB has invested in us has made the project very challenging and exciting, further proof that Pangea design is the leading typeface design agency in the Nordic Countries, says Örjan Nordling, CD Pangea design.
